ictus on AO3. This is my first time signing up for Yuletide, and I'm looking forward to receiving fic for some of my rarer canons!
General Likes: Missing scene fic, pre- or post-canon fic, canon-divergent AUs, character studies, introspective fic—basically anything that gives more depth to these characters or expands on canon in a thoughtful way. I love exploring tension, conflict, and angsty interpersonal dynamics, and I'm fine with open endings or not having these conflicts completely resolved. I love femslash and slash, so feel free to explore shippy undertones if that speaks to you; I love UST and first time fic especially, and PWPs are welcome. I'm a fan of non-linear and non-conventional narrative styles so if you feel like getting experimental, I'm here for it!
I'm interested in receiving French fic for À l'aube - Feu! Chatterton (Music Video) and Respire | Breathe (2014), and Italian fic for Domani è un altro giorno | Tomorrow's a New Day (2019), but English fic is welcome too.

À l'aube - Feu! Chatterton (Music Video)

This song and its clip are so beautiful and evocative, and I would love anything that touches on the backstory between these two men, or potentially a future reunion. The first line is nous étions frères un jour et les choses ont changé, and while I initially took that to mean they were two people who were so close they were practically brothers, the clip seems to suggest a more literal interpretation; either interpretation is fine. From the song, I was imagining men of about the same age (Je me suis aussi dit que j’étais sans doute moi-même moins fougueux, moins dispendieux qu’en notre prime adolescence), but the clip seemed to suggest a bigger age difference; again, either interpretation works for me. I would love any story that deals with the pain that comes with leaving behind your adolescence, saying goodbye to a friend (Faut bien s’arracher), and how that weighs up against the thrill of setting out on your own (Il faut choisir, la vie est ailleurs ! Voilà ce qu’on se disait).
Batwoman (Comics)

I loved the Batwoman (2017) run so much, and Safiyah really made this series for me. She's an incredibly confident and formidable woman, and I love how cunning and ruthless she is ("If there were really assassins sneaking through my house in the shadows, Kate... you had better believe that I was the one who sent them.") I would love to see a bit more about her being the Mother of Warlords and running her empire, or backstory fic about how she came to be who she is. Shipwise, I love all combinations and permutations of Safiyah, Kate and Tahani; there is such a glorious push-pull between all three of them, and it plays out beautifully. For this canon I'm more than happy for you to take it as dark as you'd like, leaning into the themes of jealousy, possessiveness and revenge.
Batman: White Knight (Comics)
Requested characters: Jason Todd, Dick Grayson

I loved this AU and thought it was phenomenally executed. Pre-canon, I'd love some insight into what it was like for Dick growing up in Jason's shadow, and how Jason's death affected Dick. I'm also interested in what Jason does with his life after escaping the Joker and how being Robin impacted him. Post-canon, I'd love a fic about Dick searching for Jason and confronting him about why he disappeared: does Jason resent Dick for replacing him? Is he angry that Dick tracked him down? Do they have some sort of fucked-up bonding over how much Bruce messed them up? (These are not mutually-exclusive scenarios.) I will be reading the sequel as it's released, so feel free to draw on elements from Batman: Curse of the White Knight
Domani è un altro giorno | Tomorrow's a New Day (2019)

I love how this film dealt with a topic that's quite heavy, but handled it with such a deft touch, and juxtaposed it with humour. I would love to see something similar in a fic; I don't expect you to shy away from the tragedy of what Giuliano's going through, nor am I looking for a fix-it, but I'd also like to see some of the lighter moments between Giuliano and Tommaso. For example, missing scene fic where Tommaso accepts Giuliano's offer to come over and smoke, or perhaps a fic set during their visit to Barcelona. Another aspect of this film that I really enjoyed was Giuliano and Tommaso reminiscing on when they met in college, and I would love a fic that explored this period of their life.
God's Own Country (2017)

This film really stood out in the way it managed to capture a sense of isolation, particularly how Johnny was cut off from the world. I loved how Gheorghe slowly broke down Johnny's barriers, and how their forced proximity fuelled their sexual tension. Feel free to explore what it was like for Johnny and Gheorghe to have to sleep next to each other, and how that exacerbated Johnny's belligerence, but also their growing attraction (and if you wanted to throw in huddling for warmth, that would be amazing). I'd also love a bit more insight as to what exactly triggered their first sexual encounter, and how Johnny feels afterwards. It's obvious that he's in denial at least initially, and I'd love to know what snaps him out of that. As much as I loved the aggressive sex in the mud, I also loved all the softer, tender moments with them exploring each other's bodies, so smutfic in that vein would be amazing (but aggressive mudsex is also welcome!).
Respire | Breathe (2014)

This film was so subtly sinister, and the role of Sarah was played superbly. I loved how she had a seductive quality that drew people to her like a moth to a flame, but when she was done with them, her cold indifference was absolutely brutal. I would love to see more of her toying with Charlie, not even for any particular gain, but just because she enjoys it. On a shippy note, there were so many moments in this film where the sexual tension between Charlie and Sarah was almost palpable, and I would love any kind of smut with these two, especially if Sarah's mean about it (e.g. bossing Charlie around, teasing her for being a virgin). I'd also be interested in Sarah spending time with other girls to make Charlie jealous, and this could be in a platonic or a romantic way. Finally, I thought that the ending to this film was really spectacular, especially as it was open-ended; I'd love to read what you think happens next!
